How to Launch and Filter Reports Using a Form in MS Access

08-January-2021
In this episode, we’ll cover one of the most useful tasks in MS Access: How to launch a report, and filter it, from a button on a form, using parameter entries from user selections on the form. This skill is one of the core basics for anyone wanting to automate their reports, or reports for others. We’ll create a form, some combo boxes for drop down lists, a command button, as well as a report with some customized filtering actions. This technique can be used for free form text box parameters, dates, drop-down lists, checkboxes, and other types. After watching this video, you will want to experiment with your reports. For many of these steps, we’ll use some simple VBA programming for our automation.
